i installed weblogic8.1 on windows98. once created a domain i was unable to start it on win98. but in other versions of OS (win2000 or winXP) it runs. how should i run the server on win98?

Being a Server it may be running as a daemon in the
background. Try run it via DOS. Simply surf to
the directory where you executable is and run
it in verbose mode (I'm assuming weblogic has a
verbose mode - I have never used it before).

You should be able to google all this stuff.
In dos you will be able to find all the executables
associated with weblogic (via dir), run it by
trial and error you'll eventually fire it up.

Once again, this is just an educated guess I have
never used weblogic.
