i have this medical book CD that i want to run.

i think that i was able to run the CD without any problems. but just for the last few days, i got this error message:


java virtual machine launcher

"unable to access jarfile server.jar."


i tried to use the lavasoft to delete those spywares. after that, i still get the same error message, i wonder why?

Sounds like your virtual machine is messed up.
Reinstall it, that would be the simpliest solution.

I had this problem in combination with Microsofts JVM (this junc has a very bad installation routine)

how do i install it?

i tried java.com, it tells me that i already installed the latest software.

i tried microsoft.com, it has so many information, and i can't seem to find the jvm to download.

1. UNinstall your current Java Runtime Environment

2. Download the latest Runtime from
http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp?StoreId=22&PartDetailId=jre-1.5.0_06-oth-JPR&SiteId=JSC&TransactionId=noreg
or the complite SDK from
https://sdlcweb2c.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=A17EA8E6698E94412B3A2F7A99DFF454

i actually had version 5 and 6 that are installed . which i used the add/remove function removed 5. and the reinstall 6. it still didn't work.

maybe something else?
