hi, I have a problem related to the jdk1.6 that in jdk1.6 all the methods related to stop a thread in between has deprecated. like stop(), resume(),destroy(),kill().Nut now i have a problem that i have to stop a thread in between how can i do it.actually the problem is that in my program i have to take response/user input but if for three minuts user does not give any input then i have to just skip that instruction and continue with the rest part of the thread

please help me it's urgent
