I am new to classloaders. Can you please tell me how classloaders work in java.

A classloader abstracts out the java runtime from knowing the details of class storage at file system.

All JVM include one embedded class loader called primodal class loader which has access to repository of trusted classes. This class loader has the default behavior for loading a class. Other class loader's are then used to load classes on demand.
