Have a look at the Yahoo FAQ and see if there is a possible solution to your problem. It might be you need to update your JRE or that their applet is just having problems...

I have tried all the instructions given in the yahoo help, but still, the applet wont load, the screen is blank, even when its says;;;;;done nothing comes up on the screen. tk

I'm using Java Runtime Version 1.4+ and it works for me.

Try and update your JVM and see if you're still experiencing problems.

If you are using Windows XP, and recently bought it or installed, it does not have the Virtual Machine to support Java, due to the case between Microsoft and Sun.
Best option is to download the JVM from www.java.sun.com
This should allow you to play the games, but could be a little slow while loading up. Also, make sure the settings for IE are enabled.

Maybe you are beyond a firewall/proxy which blocks some ports needed...
