From what i can gather bluetooth stacks are expensive! AveLink have a trial version for 15 days. If your OS is WindowsXP, install service pack1 & download the BT stack plug in. Otherwise the only other free option is Linux- it's BT stack is blueZ. As for a simple working java application grrrr i might have to get back to you with that… I’m still banging my head on the wall :(

Hi,

Could you help in in just telling me how to install the java apis?

from what i think: we have to compile the java files and make them into .class files

then jar them and store the jar in? /usr/java/j2.../jre/lib/

then in netbeans do we add it to the tools > platform or to libraries?

Thanks

Eric

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and came across this topic.

I am also trying to create a simple program similar to this one. As the reply says, you can use the atinav plug-in or the Windows XP one. Exactly how do u go about using the Windows XP BT stack?

Thanks for the reply in advance.

I dunno... Try masking the inputs, so you build an I/O interface like the standard one in the API, but only for bluetooth components... I don't know that much about bluetooth though. It's just an idea.
