can a datagramsocket be stored in a file.
i want to then retrieve it from the file and use it too send and receive data.

Could you reformulate the question or be more specific ?
'cause it is not too clear what you exactly want to do ...

I see 2 very differnt options with you question :
_ Either store the data that were received / emitted from / over the UDP-socket
_ Allow the Soccket to be Serialized for some obscure reasons
