Well I would like to know whether it can be considered safe enough to pursue with the blood pressure controlling drugs for a long time, as my mom who also happens to be a patient of the same problem complains of acidity and indigestion and this has become acute since her BP medications started, just a few days back I came across a blog http://treat-high-bp-naturally.blogspot.com/ which made me rather interested, can you people look at this and state the efficacy of this in curbing BP?
I read on http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3146-s-DIOVAN.aspx that The usual dose in patients with hypertension is 80 mg once daily, but doses of up to 320 mg daily have been used. In patients with congestive heart failure, twice daily dosing has been used...Diovan is generally well-tolerated and side effects are rare. The most common reasons for discontinuation of therapy with valsartan are headache and dizziness...but there is nothing written on the long-time treatment neither on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diovan there's nothing mention. I think the best would be to ask for a doctor's advice...
