Abstract: Dechnik plans to move his application to a larger grid of over 100 Pacific-employee desktop PCs. Because a typical desktop user employs only a tiny portion of the available processing power, the application can borrow large numbers of CPU cycles without affecting everyday work. Dechnik estimates a 100-system grid will run each scenario in less than an hour.
