You know techical journalism is bad when a major publisher such as Sys-Con fails to delinate between an Engineering process and a opinion belief framework. In several issues this year JDJ fails to identify Xp in its articles as an engineering process. Why is this important?

An engeering process balances tradeoffs to produce a product or service and has no absolutes. In other words statements like, if you are not doing paired programming its not XP, are in fact not XP standards but mythical statements.

In fact Kent Beck never claimed to have created XP as the JDJ articles claimed. He has only claimed he created the expanalation and the guides he has written, as XP has a 30 year or more history of being developed.

This alone is not the only instance where JDJ and or other Sys-con Technical Magazines fails to fact check articles. it has happen before but now its occurring more regularly within each issue.
