Fintan Ryan, we havce nothing aginst your hard work at Sun. However, the recent dust up indidcates an important fact. Its hard to prove or dissprove evidence of existance of a claim when its closed behind closed doors especially amoung the programmers and engineers working hard behind that closed door to the public debate. The posts aobut openSolaris being vaporware are in fact furstation at Sun Microsystems stil not getting what opensource and fee source really mean amougn the upper managment staff of Sun Microsystems.
I should state that doing pr work before the legal workings are resolved to opne source Solaris might be somewhat a big pr mistake as you can never tell what closed source fiends might come out of the woood work to block the process.
