A brief but good article on working with .NET and J2EE web services.
I especially like this sub-quote:

"... but all development is integration. I've never seen a project that doesn't involve some integration."

I think that leveraging scalable J2EE web services (possibly running on inexpensive Linux platforms) and talking to rich .NET clients will ba a growing trend in the market.
