Hey, I got an email today for a Symbian development position in the Bay Area:
Russ:

I have been retained by a hot wireless/mobile emerging growth company to build their engineering team. They just got a bunch of new funding and are looking to expand their team.

They are seeking Senior Wireless Software Architects (2) - these are critical hires to a leading growth company within the wireless and mobile community. They have opportunities in Silicon Valley.

These Architects will be expert SymbianOS, PocketPC/Smart Phone developers with expert experience developing wireless applications using J2ME, Pocket PC 2000/2002 and Symbian technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a BSCS/MSCS, a minimum of 5 years of overall software development experience, 2+ years of C++/Java on wireless platforms (preferably SymbianOS). Experience should include - Wireless (WAP, SyncML, IMAP, iMode, XML-RPC), Network & Internet technologies.

I don't qualify (not knowing C++/Symbian dev) but if you do and are interested, drop me a note and I'll pass on the contact stuff to you.

-Russ
