You may as a new Eclispe user wonder how to setup a location to hold third party plugins so when you upgrade you do not recreate that setup. Setup a folder similar to eclipse_resources at the root of your drive.

Set up a sub folder called eclipse. Set up two sub folders in this folder called features and plugins. Copy the .eclipseproduct file to this eclipse_resources and rename it to .eclipseversion.

Now, when you attmept to add the extension location in the manage configurations panel Eclipse will accept your entry because it recognizes both the .eclipseversion file and the subfolders structure you have set up.
