Well, I have used VMware before, and today I tried the trial version of Connectix (now Microsoft's) Virtual PC 5.2.
Install was a breeze, and I was able to install RedHat9 without any problems.
Of course you loose memory by hosting this way, as opposed to dual booting, which I am also doing with RedHat 9, but this way I can connect XP to Linux directly over the Loopback connection.
Definitely worth a look.
