I have forgotten what freaking pain Sun AppServer is and got reminded this weekend why I dot use it as a j2EE servert o develop with or in production. Cannot get server to start despite checking everything. Server hangs on attempting to bind to the rmi-jmx-connector url despite the fact that those ports are not taken by anything else.

Although I stil want to finish this Writing a ServerDef plugin for Eclipse WTP with a working copy of a plugin. Hmm, that leaves Resin or Gluecode. Becuase of the bugs in the external launcher stuff with Sun AppServer I am shying away from Resin at the moment.

Seem like its time for a Gluecode Eclipse WTP Serverdef plugin.
