When it rains, it pours. I'll be giving the technotizer (intro) talk at AustinJUG tomorrow night (I guess the previous speaker cancelled) on JSR 175 metadata. Metadata has the potential to fundamentally change the way we program Java in the future, more so than any of the other upcoming language features. Generics is close second, but I think metadata is more important. I'll be talking about what exactly JSR 175 is proposing, why it is important as well as showing some real examples of JSR 175 metadata. It'll be fun.
