I found out that the password I was using to get developer access to the SavaJE developer kits and emaulator was incorrect. SavaJE was very helpful in pointing out that out as the typeface they used the first time to send me the passwod made it hard to determine if it was letter or number.
Thus, I have another CDC emulator and dev kit to download to code xlets on JavaME CDC.
