Well, its not really what I hate aobut lInux as much as what I hate about the interaction of a program and plugin. Those old Linux hats and users and fans of Mozilla FireFox probably know what I am talking about. That damn FireFox and Flash instability.

Yes, MacroMedia and now Adobe has promised an updated flash player for Linux. THos of us who have been both long time Linux users and FireFox users are going, 'do you mean when pigs fly'? There are several Distros releasing final releases this December. Adobe could win Linux users by showing up to the party with beta FLash 9 players for the major Linux distros.

To be fair to the hard workers at Adobe, there might be a beta release of the Adobe Flash Player for Linux before the 2007 final release date. Tou can folow the work of Adobe Flash Player 9 for Linux at the Penguin.SWF blog. Remember folks like most software engineeers, Adobe Engineers can respond to constructive comments and at least they are blogging the progress towards the beta and final releases.

The other part of the equation is the Mozilla FireFox stability on Linux which there are some promised improvements that will be included with the Mozilla FireFox 2.0 release for Linux. You can download the Debian package here and make sure to install the dependencies first.
