I've almost run out of the first batch of cards I printed up back in Feburary when I started with RedMonk. To be frank, the ones I had sucked. They were functional, but not very cool. Craig actually made fun of me for not having ultra-swanky cards like James.

So, thanks to a little IM from ScottD!, I just ordered a box of a 100, slim, photo cards from Moo. Sure, 100 isn't too much, but if the cards turn out to be useful -- make me more memorable and start conversations -- I'll order more. More interestingly, I can create a whole new batch of cards.

Coté cards! Collect 'em all!

The deal is this: Moo lets you select pictures from your flickr photostream that it prints on the back of the cards. Then you can add text to the front. From the photo pool, they look quite high quality, e.g., check out these nice blues.

The only hitch was that I had to hack the RedMonk logo onto the front of the card. There's an option to include your flickr buddy logo on the front, but you can't put in any old picture you want. So, I went and changed my flickr buddy icon to the RedMonk logo. While there was a hack to work around it, it's obvious that allowing people to put whatever image they want on the front is a must.

At the moment, you can get 10 free as well if you want to try it out. They're not giving me anything (sucks!): it just seems interesting.
