To save or not save an Indy Domain Name Start-Up SPeculator is the question. The start-up I use to work for is hard up on rough times with every project failing even non computer projects such as commercial real estate development. Every time companies want to even buy domain name sform this company they decide not to after doing a google search on the name of the CEO.
The CEO's girlfriend tried the same exact strategies of puffing up domain names with false sites and still no domain name sales. Both CEO and girlfriend stil have no database web application development skills even after pretending for 6 to 8 years that in fact they do have those skils.
My technical prose in comparison gets attention form high tech companies and VCs and I have been offered cash and stock deals to develop web 2.0 applications. Building a high quality web 2.0 application that a VC group will sign on for and fully fund first round takes one skilled developer using rails frameworks and 2 interns and 6 to 8 months development time.
That certainly is better results than going through 15 interns with a CEO with no job experience and zero results. Well at least the CEO finally figured out to hire licensed electricians rather than risk electrocuting himself in fixing electrical stuff in a house that is being remodeled in Broadripple. Now if he could only understand that database driven web application development is the same way.
I certainly could train two idiot interns in 12 months to develop one web 2.0 application if some one were to make a specific financial apology to me. It is not that I am asking too much. Just for two dense, refusing to verify assumptions, refusing to locally think idiots to financially apologize for all fraud and deception committed against me and just maybe than two idiots can be trained to produce a web 2.0 database driven application that VCs invest in in a firt round funding event.
Or we could do child like things like keep taking down email servers to hide and not be accountable for fraud and deceptions for 1 months at a time. Pretty soon it will be 12 months of the email server being down turns into 2 years, 3 years, and etc than what? Or even better what happens when the CEo's girlfriend's financial resources run out? I am very sure that it would not hurt
the CEO and his girlfriend to meail me and find out the price of the financial apology.
Or course not listening to an experienced developer, not following directions, not verifying assumptions, and etc counting the real estate debacles has cost this Indy Domain Name Speculator Start-Up over $3 Million in a short no revenue 10 year period. It might be time to listen..especially when you start blaming me for losses from not following zoning laws in the real estate debacle.
