The UBraille project has announced its initial release, version 1.01. They write in, "Braille and Unicode have been strangers for long enough, yet I18N is key to web development. For those using braille as a primary media this is often restrictive. I've implemented a table based braille engine in Java, with XML input and contracted braille output. Currently implements en-GB braille. I'm looking to test it out with other locales."
