I just tried the beta version (they finally made it) of VMware Fusion. Remember this is beta software and guess what. Yes, VMWare supports my smartcard reader from the start. This means i can now finally do my homebanking shit without booting into windows via bootcamp. I am crying for smartcard reader support in parallels for weeks and months in their forums and in my blog. This is an excellent example how fast a product can be replaced by a competitor. I really dont care about my parallels invest because 49$ is not really worth missing such a major feature, because my time is much more valuable than lousy 49$. So either the parallels guys hurry up really fast on this or they are losing one more customer. Thats how the the software world works right? Definitely!
