Having already read, reviewed and worked out the samples earlier from two other books on EJB 3.0 (Beginning EJB3 Application Development: From Novice to Professional and Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, 5th edition), I was not sure if this book would keep my interest going. Then again, this book was interesting and I kept reading it from start to finish. I never felt bored going over the topics, which I was already familiar with. EJB 3 in Action helps you in learning EJB 3 and the Java Persistence API in an easy manner and without difficulty. For novices to EJB, this book provides a rock-solid foundation to EJB. For developers moving to EJB 3 from EJB 2, this book addresses the changes both in the EJB 3 API and JPA. This book is ideally suited for Java developers with a couple of years' experience who are interested in EJB 3.
