Voting for Java EC positions is underway. Any JCP member can vote and influence the makeup of the committe. I was suprised to see that nominees for the J2SE/J2EE committee were primarily individuals. Sonic Software was the only corporate nominee. I do think it is important for companies to be a part of the JCP and stay active in the Java community, but I think the EC could use a few more individual members on board to balance out the corporate interests. So, my votes went to Doug Lea and Richard Monson-Haefel. Good luck, guys!
