We will not know for awhile how valid this rumor is as JavaFX Script for Mobile and web linked phones. Why?

Because java is deployed differently on web browsers on desktop as opposed to phones. In desktop pcs its installed on OS and web browser can run the applets in browser and thus any script in JVM will run in the browser via the JVM browser plugin. This is not true on mobile.

Some browsers such as Opera Mobile run directly in the J2ME MIDP environment as a MIDlet and TSR combination. Other browsers in mobile handsets do not run on J2ME MIDP MIDlets. Of course all CDC device handsets have browsers that can run applet like the desktop and thus desktop approach will work for those devices.
