Most in reading this Dark Days Article will miss the gems. The gems for start up are that Yaho has a boatload of cash and has lost significant ad revenue.

My prediction is that Yahoo will embark on a 18 month start up buying spree in order to gain market share in ad sales and etc. The sites that they want to buy will be social network web 2.0 start ups. The ones that move to get a prototype built in the next 6 months will have opportunity to be bought by Yahoo. The ones that do not and drag their feet will loose as the market moves fast and not slow.
