I have caught myself saying "no" to a couple of downloads.

I went to watch John Lam talk about IronRuby, but when instead of seeing the movie, I was told "Get Silverlight".

That was enough to put me off watching it right then. It just shows how these little blocks affect adoption, and how good Flash looks with its deployment.

If this was a rich application that I really *had* to try, then maybe I wouldn't have postponed.
