I got one of those famous “do you want to work for google emails” from a google recruiter. While i dont search a permanent job (i am quite happy with freelancing contracts and own customers which are handled by me and my employee), i was excited how the recruiting process works at google and was also excited what they would offer. So after some initial mails with some initial questions, i sent them a link to my online resume. Of course the link was a special link only for google with a hit counter running.
Now a few days ago, the recruiter wrote back that after reviewing my CV with the team, they decided that i am not a fit for the open positions. Even more exciting than the negative response was the fact that my hit counter was still at zero hits for the CV URL i supplied. It seems google found a very effective way of reviewing CVs without even looking at them. This is more fascinating than GoogleMail for sure. Anyway, i dont think they would pay me my current yearly income, but i must admit that working in the Bay Area for some years is not the worst thing i can imagine.
