My last top10 dev tools list was posted quite some time ago and its time for an update:

1. IntelliJ IDEA - boring i know, but not discussable
2. DBVisualizer - a top notch developer cross-database tool
3. VMware - definitely needed for testing various environments
4. SmartSVN - for advanced subversion operations
5. SoapUI - if you deal with soap webservices, a must have
6. JProfiler - not used that much but important to have
7. TextMate - for everything i dont do in IDEA (except XML)
8. oXygen - one, if not the best developer based XML editor
9. SSHkeyChain - stores SSH keys for various servers (Mac)
10. OmniGraffle - nice if you need to draw technical pictures
