I posed the, "Was Trixie(Speed Racer) the first Geek Girl" question as a practice essay to someone that I know as I wanted to see the mind paths that would be produced by actually working through that essay concept. One, because she grew up with the Trixie cocnept of participation in that its cheer leading on side lines rather than full participating role. And I wanted to prod her into a mor eleading a movemtent type role.
Where are the women role models in the geek world of leading participation? Think about this and par tofits perception. What did Melinda French or the Women founder of Cisco do? The longer we let perceptionn to put other roelmodels out there that are different form the the norm, the longer it takes for innovation to reach our hands. It takes difference sot create tha tinnovation not sameness.
So here is to hoping that the person I prodded will do the essay and make it shine like I know she can.
