A new release of Tapestry 5 is out the door and it‘s getting closer to completion! Really excited to start looking at this (hopefully this next week or two I‘ll be diving in with some Tassel work). Much new Ajax support has been added in this release so it‘s finally in a state that I want to start looking at for some of my stuff.
Here is the short version of the release notes.
Tapestry 5.0.11 is the latest release of Tapestry 5 . It is feature complete and can is a beta release, meaning that we are concentrating on adding stability and documentation, and on fixing bugs. A release candidate is expected in the near future.
Tapestry 5 is distributed as a binary and a source distribution. The binary distribution includes a code JAR for each module, as well as a source JAR for each module (having the Java source available is a huge benefit when working with Tapestry inside an IDE). The binary distribution now also includes third party dependencies (for dependencies with licenses compatible with the Apache Software License).
The source distribution includes all source files, including those for the Maven plugin modules.
