yes, I agree that function wise you should be able to pick an Eclipse component and than Equinox P2 takes care of all dependencies. okay I have Eclispe3.4RC1 installed and thus this morning attempted to update knowing that Elcispe3.4RC2 is out. Here is the message i gt trying to update datatools:

Data Tools Platform Enablement is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.
Data Tools Platform Extender SDK is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.
Data Tools Platform SQL Development Tools is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.

Something is wrong somewhere and users want to report the errors so they get fixed. I am not alone in seeing these errors.
