Every once in awhile a start up will post a project add to build a platform for specific segment of users. For that platform to be effective not only the right technical choices have to be made by the developers but also a large degree of transparency by the management culture. its the whole reason why when I apply for those projects that I test current management and see how transparent they might be at that time.

It makes no clear sense to me to take money for completing a project when I know that management will not be transparent and be for users of that platform. My knees are just not able to bend before the 'management gods' and give them what they want as in no transparency resulting in large user resentment and non use of the platform.

Most platforms are in fact just more than tools but users communities and social communities. It takes a different management approach as in no matter who signs my check when I build such a platform I work for the user not management.
