Hopefully Engine Yard’s ambitions are beyond rails. They could have a good cloud story if they keep things open with an eye towards standards. Never mind being rails-parochial.
Stock market no likey tech-sector. Begs the question: what (non-recursive) benefit do companies get from being public? Is it just the early-on cash-out that plagues the company for the rest of it’s life?
Dave considers Twitter for marketing - kinds weird, but valuable enough to keep using. “There are some great users like the guys from RedMonk, who have gotten so used to Twittering everything that its like having them in the room.”
