Another reason why I have not migrated to Eclipse3.4 is that during any install of Eclipse3.4 on any Linux system it messes up my Windows Manager settings changing them from Compiz to Metacity. It does not seem to be fixed in Eclipse3.4.1RC. I understand everyone is working on fixes, I wish I had better news. I do know that its occurring before any install of 3rd party plugins but I have no knowledge of why its occurring.
