Everyone is writing Android Apps the old Java way, damn freaking boring. Is there another way? Yes, there is in fact another way. The difference between Apple iPhone and Android is that Google made sure to gives us Map API tools. Google also made sure to give us the Google cloud attached to the device.

That may no sound like much until you realize that you can do a Loopt clone using Google contacts, Google Map API, and a 3rd party API to store the geolocation data/user pairs and not ever have to have the massive server infrastructure that Loopt employs. This of course is not the only possibility as you could mash it up with other loosely coupled clouds such as Persssonas(email me for invites as I have 9 left), FriendFeed, and etc. WQe have a whole new class of Mobile Mash Ups to play with, lets play folks!
