As Android gets popular you will see an influx of people claiming that they are private equity and act as a private equity charalatan in wanting to manipulate the developer. Although I will not name the person/company entity I just had the displeasure of experiencing I will list the warning signs os that you can as an Android Developer looking for start up seed capital avoid such distractions. Warning Signs:

-Person asks that you do a revenue share deal with no cash down.Skilled Private Equity even in this bad economy have opportunity cash put aside for investment purposes and have no need for such manipulations.
-False Private Equity Person asks that you wait on their efforts to get opportunity cash to invest as seed capital rather than move on to the next seed capital source. If they do not have accessible seed capital themselves its doubtful that it will be obtained during that waiting period.
-Manipulation of a business discussion towards false conclusions about start up viability to support fact that charalatan has no accessible seed capital to invest and may want free research into the mobile industry for one o ftheir won start up efforts.
-The tactic to want to discuss a tech implementation without adequate research matching up that tech implementation with business resources such as seed capital and etc.
-The false private equity person will attempt to imply that any of your concerns about the person being a false private equity person is somehow in your imagination. The real private equity person will realize in the beginning that proof or validation of their person is hidden and provide a NDA so that you can under that NDA get that information from them proving their private equity status.
