When boot strapping you come upon choices that increase work but in the long term provide some benefits. right now I have to choose between concentrating on having Xspot targeting SymbianS60 or iPhone. while iPhone is hot it comes at certain upfront costs such as an Apple desktop or laptop to develop on as the emulator does not run on Linux and no I am not breaking Apple's EULA to develop for iPhone.
SymbianS60 emulators run on WINE under Linux and so does the SDK which means its within my boot strap requirements. However, I have some upfront costs in that I have to port PhoneGap to Symbian C. I do not think it wil be that difficult although I have not touched Symbian C in awhile but it should be fun.
