As a former Netbeans user and current Eclipse user I never thought I would say this, but I am switching to NetBeans in 2009 from Eclipse for the following reasons:
1. Update manager problems still not fixed and it requires users to manually go through steps to make update manager play right.
2. No full git support for Eclipse, and Netbeans has it through a 3rd party project.
3. No auto install for my Linux distro of Eclipse and Netbans has that covered.
Yes, it sis more build script steps in cetain areas such as Android, embedded and etc but most of that is already in place and thus no big loss.
