I almost have my transformation to a native menu complete and now comes the question about position of at top or bottom. Before I had the menu at the top in the html form:

But that is extra hand movement from the bottom device buttons to the application menu. Thus, I am moving the native menu of the application to the bottom. I also have a keyboard layout decision puzzle.

With a virtual keyboard you will not have a orientation change and thus an activity clear/destroy/recreate sequence but with the pop out keyboard of G1you do and thus should I change the application orinetation to always be landscape? Or catch the orientation events and handle the having to store some objects and resotre upon recreation of the activity after the orinetation change? Another UI puzzle to solve.
