Just read an article over at java.net on the rational behind the Shocks Servlet Framework.
Spring being another framework along the same lines, so to speak.
I like the choice of all three names though, all are used to providing support under loading 400 .
Struts, providing rigid support, and Shocks and Springs provide support via flexing and compression.
Kind of funny I think.
