First, let me say that two of Zyle's competitors are being analysed and examined because through the work of their creators they have earned top user demand in Android Market and they should be damn proud of that achievement. The first one up is dxTop:
It is not bad and like myself the creator of dxTop wants widgets as separate applications. But there is an interface goof brought about by indecision. The creator of dxTop came up with a new AllAppsgridView that shows apps grouped by apps runing, services runing, and apps not runing. To me if you come up with new innovative interface than by god replace the old one and go with it, no guts no glory:
The long swipe concept does look neat though. Next up we have aHome:
As can see a screen indicator as a series of dots. Notice more turn off and on features such as the dock and etc.
As you can see I have some very good competition to Zyle in that they came up with some new UI features that are certainly beter than the original homescreen of Android. Should be an interesting competition.
