"Blogs Bubble Into Business", or, Weblog at Work. It's the usual story ("Using blogs, companies can easily and quickly communicate information such as project updates, research, and product and industry news both inside and outside the business", etc.), but a good writeup.
"What these companies and others like them share is a distinct approach to innovation: they strategically exploit an intimate knowledge of their customers' mindsets, they innovate around (rather than through) technology, and they scour the globe for good ideas."
The stories of CEMEX (a Mexican company that's the third largest cement company, by volume, in the world) are especially interesting: some of the innovations described are good examples of effective bottom-up development. Link found at SAP Ventures.
