There is a new eclipse community site called Eclipse Plugin Central. It has got a plugin directory, forums to discuss the plugins and a market place for plugins.

The Eclipse Plugin Central Alliance was formed in 2004 by Genuitec, Innoopract, and Instantiations.

Our mission is to support the growth of the Eclipse community by helping developers locate, evaluate, and acquire plugins that can help them deliver their projects faster, better and cheaper. At the same time we provide software publishers with a means to increase product sales through this innovative new distribution channel. Eclipse Plugin Central donates a portion of its revenues to the Eclipse Foundation.

This is a nice effort. The thing I like the most is that it has an RSS feed. But currently there are a very few plugins there, mostly commercial ones. Till they catch on you can get a more comprehensive list of plugins at http://www.eclipse-plugins.info/. They have currently 469 plugins listed. Only drawback is they have no RSS feed. :-(
