Last month saw the start of the JCP special election process to fill the four seats available on the JCP Executive Committee.

The votes have been cast and the final results are as follows:

• The two ratified seats (i.e., nominated by Oracle for endorsement) for the SE/EE committee are filled by Bruno Souza representing the Brazilian JUG SouJava and John Weir representing Goldman Sachs. Their respective terms end in 2013.
• The remaining open seat on the SE/EE committee is taken by Ben Evans representing London Java Community. The term for this seat ends in 2012.
• The open seat on the ME committee has gone to Alex Terrazas with his term ending in 2011.
