JCP.next JSR 1, the first of the two JSRs to update the Java Community Process, has passed the first review process. It's expected to take around six months to be completed and the recommendations to be approved. You can follow the JSR's progression through it's JCP page.

There's a good blog post from the newest members of the JCP Executive Committee, the London Java Community, outlining what the changes can mean for the process.
