JDK 7 has been released and is now available to download from Oracle’s Java download page. The JDK 7 release notes provide a good overview to the features and enhancements for Java SE 7.

There's a lot to the release including:

• Project Coin (small language changes),
• The Fork/Join Framework (for using multiple processors)
• The NIO.2 File System API

If you want to find out more about the new release have a look at the Java SE 7 documentation site and don't forget there is the new Java SE 7 API.
