An excellent invention by Dr van der Heijde, a pair of glasses which can be used by anyone needing apair of glasses. And amazingly they don't need to see an opthalmologist, they can adjust it on their own! The key is a pair of shifting lenses per eye which are adjustable by a small knob. The shifting saddle-shaped lenses were conceived by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Luis Alvarez, as he humbly points out. From what I am hearing it can be developed in developing countries rather easily. Click here for details.
