Ever since Eclipse web tools project was announced there has been various proposals and announcements regarding when it will start and who would contribute. Recently IBM had made a proposal. This looked good but due to some internal politics it was quietly turned down. Some guys even started a project on source forge based on the discussion in the webtools newsgroups. Now ObjectWeb seems to have put up another proposal. The initial contribution would be ObjectWeb's Lomboz. While Lomboz is a nice tool, I think IBM's contribution would have been much better. Anyway I hope the project takes off at least now.
